Majors Division

League Age: 10-12 (12's must play Majors)

Draft: Players are assigned to teams based on a draft.

Keeper:
Majors is a “keeper” division.  Players remain on the same team until they age out of the division.

Player Assessment: Little League International mandates player assessment to be eligible for Majors.  Only those players who have not played in the Majors Division before and wish to be draft eligible must participate in the player assessment.

Other Information: All teams must have 12 players.  Based on the number of teams being fielded, not all 10’s and 11’s eligible for Majors will wind up playing in Majors; these players will instead play in the AAA division.

Majors Division Questions

AAA Division

League Age: 9-11

Draft: Players are assigned to teams based on a draft.

Keeper:
Not a “keeper” division.  Players are redrafted each season.

Player Assessment: A player assessment is not required unless the player has never played in Madison Little League. Players are assessed by their manager from the previous season based on their performance throughout that season.

Other Information: Madison Little League has a target of 12 players per team in AAA. This figure may vary based on both the number of players registered and the number of managers. All 10’s and 11’s not playing in Majors must play in AAA. As a result, there may be seasons where not all 9’s will be drafted to play in AAA; these players will instead play in the AA division.
